EventDyfi Enduro Machynlleth - Mid wales 2008 Jan 22, '08 4:13 AM
for everyone
Start:     May 4, '08
Location:     Machynlleth - Mid wales
Right then you muppets. Enter this now, trust me its a brilliant course, (lots of private bits) some serious downhills and a good night in the pubs on Sat night.
IT FILLS UP VERY VERY FAST SO ENTER NOW YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

If you only do one enduro - do this one. Great atmosphere, only £20, cake at the feed stations and the odd suprise like a brass band playing at the top of a big climb.

Room for 4 in the van, go saturday and do some chilled out local riding, then camp or B&B if you get in quick, then Dfyi is on Sunday.

DO IT, i have. I'm Number 69 ......say no more

Both Troy and BigRing have entered this and now cant go, so theres two entries available for free and space in the van, or make your own way down. Its a good fun event in a good area to ride in a vibrant welsh town. So let me know if you fancy a free event, or know anyone who wants to buy the entries off them if your non-plumz

More detilas just arrived.

Start Route

Due to procedural changes within Gwynedd Police Force the event will no longer receive assistance from the local Police. In light of this we have made some alterations to the opening road section of the route to ensure rider safety.

We will now stay on the main A487 North for approximately 1 mile only, before taking the singletrack back-road to the forest start in Ceinws.

This is also the return route at the end of the ride. The road is open to traffic, marshals will be on all junctions, and a lead motorcycle will control the pace. Be advised it is a narrow lane, with some short sharp ups and downs, so ride with care, and resist the temptation to hit the brakes too hard. We don’t want it to resemble a Tour du France sprint pile-up.

Seasons Screening

As you may be aware, we are screening Seasons, the latest mountain bike film from The Collective, on Saturday and Sunday evenings, at around 7.30 in Café Seren, it is free to all riders & supporters.

We also now have a second live band to play on Sunday evening.

Event Security & Camping

All riders, and supporters, will be issued with wristbands, which will be required for access to the campsite and Café Seren after 7pm.

The campsite will be open from Friday afternoon, and we ask that you vacate on Monday. Showers will be available in the nearby leisure centre during normal opening hours for a small fee, and will be free in the rugby club on Sunday only.
