CLARION 2008 EASTER SPORTIVE - 50 or 100 or 160km
As part of the Clarion's 113th Easter Meet at Stamford, among the activities will be a Cyclo-Sportive challenge ride around the lanes of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. The event is being staged by our local section - Fenland Clarion.

Sunday 23rd March - 10am, 9am, 8am
The routes take in the rolling lanes to the west and south of Stamford and the flat, windswept roads of the Fens to the east. Choose a distance to suit your level of fitness. Beware however, the hills in these parts are tough enough and on a windy day, there is nowhere to hide in the Fens!!!

I fancy a go at the 160km... anyone else interested? Guess I might have to steal a road bike first though.

I'm planning on the 160Km, Gregg is doing the Jack Grainger/Spring road race, I think I need a rest from fast stuff (Handicaps every Saturday) for one week

Had a few days camping (in the wet n windy welsh mountains) and came down ill just before the race. Gave it a try anyway and got off to a good start. Then died about 5 min later... Oh well!
