for everyone
Sat here watching Shaun of the dead, on a nightshift hangover, cant sleep.
1am and blimy whats going on, felt like a truck hit the house, at least two big wall shaking pulses, really freaky and very scary really. Dogs went Mental.

Didnt quite believe it so tired good old singletrack, home of bored nightshift workers and confirmed i wasnt going mad
 smalltalk

Then someone pointed out this QUAKESITE
seems theres loads of small tremours everyday, no data when i looked though.

Then the news breaks Near Lincoln
This Internet thing is pretty powefull stuff   Epicentre map

Makes it about here then 4.7 on the shakey scale!
Now all the interviews with people in bed on the phone on Sky news starts, and they know less than I do, slackers.

Well i got home last night and felt better than expected, had dinner and promptly fell to sleep on the couch, i woke up feeling preety awful at about 11 and then off to bed, i woke next to the rumble in the jungle, its not a great feeling being woke by the house moving!!
Seems now it was 5.2 on the shakey

Confirmation that latest reports make it a 5.2 on the reck-ter scale; Ali and I are used to our house going up and down a little when a heavy train goes past but VIOLENTLY side-to-side...............certainly got our attention.

I agree with you on the Sky News thing, but I thought the anchor woman was even dimmer than the nods who were ringing in!

Thinking of getting some t-shirts made up, "we survived the '08 quake"

They recon the rictor scale goes up 10x for 1 on the scale ( a bit like decibels i guess ) & the sunami quake was 9.1 so how scary must that of been!
