The team Industrial quality bikerack is ready, Flag pole mark IV (which is taller than my house) is ready, will it be any better than the dismal other attempts. The truck is loaded with junk with enough room for about 20 bikes more, and loads of other stuff. One thing I am stuck with though is music ????? the spare car stereo i had is ferked, and my boombox is useless. So can anyone offer any portable music, preferably that works off 12 volts worth of batteries, or an old CD playing car stereo I can borrow. Went looking round some places yesterday but all I nearly bought was a bouncy castle, no really they had some full size bouncy castles for sale at the bargain store in Corby, how cool would that be. Go on 40 quid for some fun for your kids you know you want one. With a 6 berth Caravan, Stu's wagon and the marquee, theres plenty of room to sleep, Ron and others.
As we will be pretty chilled out, why not do your lap on a nice shiny new bike. This year's tenth Mountain Mayhem event also hosts the world's biggest bike test demo event. The system is now live and taking bookings. Choose from over 160 bikes from over 20 manufacturers
Take your pick of bikes from...
- Bionicon
- Cannondale
- Charge Bikes
- Cove
- Cotic
- Cove
- Dawes

The Demo days run across the whole Mountain Mayhem weekend at Eastnor Castle Park, Herefordshire (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with a specially laid out course just for testing bikes on. You can book as many bikes as you like and you get each one for just under an hour. Booking via our online system is the only way you will make sure you get to test ride the bikes you want although there will be a chance to book any remaining bikes at the event, at the Singletrack/Giant booking booth. Important Stuff... - Please note that you MUST be over 18 to test ride a bike. If you are under 18 your booking must be made by and in the name of an adult, who will be responsible for the loan of the bike.
- You must bring a current form of photo ID with you in order to test any bike. No ID no bike.
- Once you have made your booking you must report to the Singletrack/Giant stand on site to pick up your booking forms and welcome pack.
- You must bring your own helmet. No helmet, no ride.
- Most bikes will be equipped with SPD pedals so if you don't do those you shoudl bring your own with you but bear in mind that mechanics will need time to fit them and this will come ouit of your allotted hour.
The Booking system can be found right here... Right I'm off to choose one...or two
I'm away for a while but heres a post to get you all sorted for Mayhem which is approaching fast. From the previous request for team members the team looks like this. 1.Graham 2.Glynn (runner and first lap...oh yes you are) 3.Troy 4.Ron 5.Tom 6.Brownie 7.Dave 8.Carbon Bob 9.Smiffy 10.Stu and me as reserve, as I still can't believe we are organised enough to all turn up. I'll be there from Thursday afternoon with a van load of sofas, and scaffolding and marquees. Still Intend to ride out for a relaxed explore of the Malvern hills on Thursday which is 5 miles aaway from camp. Bearing in mind your all getting a free entry care of Team Plumz coffers what are you bringing to the party ;-) Also Any more wacky ideas to make it a fun weekend? Anyone got a supersoaker so we can really annoy the fenboys for 24 hours playing "fenboy target practice"
| Start: | Jun 23, '07 2:00p | | End: | Jun 24, '07 2:00p | | Location: | Malverns |
OK 3 teams last year, how many this year Show your interest here, the forms will be out in about a week and as usual you need to fill them out before you even get them. Me - I want to be in a casual team and have a laugh this year, even sleep. SO WHO ELSE.
