well two of them cruz'ed, well more slithered over there. (I know sic) Its been long known that you can get into Santa Pod for free, they cant, and dont seem to want to stop you. Known but not tested untill today. The Cruz twins BigRing and me played on some firm yet slimy tracks on our way over there from Stanwick lakes before hitting Northants version of the Somme, the three shires way. (its no wonder anyone who lives in this area thinks there is no decent trails in Northants). A small battle of balance and line choice later we roll straight into the pits of the Auto Trader Easter Thunderball meeting, and its pretty busy and active with plenty of food and drink and a funfair. Its funny seeing the state of the campsites as we passed, thats going to be a tough weekend for them folk.   (clicky pics for big view) So as its a bank holiday, we hit the bar to get out of the Arctic wind. Three Guinises and a few rounds of donuts later we watch all of 15 seconds of burning rubber and smoke then its a blast home. (that jet car thing was the Fireforce3...260mph apparently, no wonder it disappeared that quick) Proper Bike ride.  Its on all weekend if your bored, and its 19 quid to get in if you dont use the muddy backdoor entry. Monster trucks and MotoCross tomorrow ! Santa Pod site

Great ride last night, and a good turnout, good call stu. Good mix of urban, cruising and woods and singletrack, and a fast burn-up with a BMX track thrown in. Suprising dry out there, but despite that Troy did a great job of sliding on his arse in the mud. And is Glynn on drugs, amazing. Hang on they both live in Burton, something in that.

Off road boxing day puddin burner ramble Ride out from that there Stanwick lakes/Ringstead, pick up any interested parties in Kettering area then over to Rocko clubhouse in time to laugh at the Boxing day TT entrants. Sample some of the free soup and cakes always on offer at this event, and talk turkey round the roaring fire, whilst leaving piles of mud everywhere (they didnt mind last year) before returning home with more offroad fun on the way. 9 oclock start for us and we'll arrange to meet anyone on the way where you decide. Go on blow some cobwebs away and escape the inlaws.
