The Rocko are looking for a regular venue to hold road racing, this looks an ace location and its just been resurfaced.

Does anyone know anyone involved with the circuit in any way, or even any other places with private roads like illford etc. Theres cash init for the landowner.

The Rocko Speedway are just useless and it will never happen there again.

Carrying on with the roadie theme of late, Just been watching (while working of course) the Paris Nice. Tomorrows stage should be good as they climb Mt Ventoux, snow and all.

This is possible by using the audio feed from Eurosport HERE (works for anyother program too) and the TV signal from a Russian site called SPUTNIK which then streams onto Windows media player 10.

This information was got from this ace site http://www.cyclingfans.com/ which tells you all the other Free TV by PC details for Cycling events.

Thats an actual screenshot i took from todays race, tomorrow starts from about 2pm

This is a combination of road and off road gravel and mud tracks and circulates round the same area of roads up by Rutland water.
Well worth a ride out to or use your bike to tour around the race, me and Gregg did it one year and saw loads of action in about 8 different places whilst getting a few miles in riding between pubs and villages.
these boys hit mud on slicks flat out - respect no less.

Its been rumoured for a while that 24 hr racing would be coming to the roadie boys and this is the confirmed date.
Teams of 5 will be racing over a 9 mile course in the usual Endurance relay format on Roadbikes only, nothing else allowed, full BCF road race rules.

Probably a Private estae, a tricky course with some climbing and fun descents which will be floodlite at night.

So I fancy having a good go at this, any one else up for it so we can get ready for the mad scramble when the entry forms are released.

Its gona be mental.

Did the LVRC race at Rocko yesterday, 5 laps of the Valley.

The fast boys went away the first time up bringhurst, so we chased for 5 laps it was one fast pace 24 mph average for 50 miles, 2hrs and 4 mins and Graham you will be pleased to here thats 49.4 miles, thats 9.88 miles a lap.

It was pretty fragmented at the end but I seemed to sprint past a heap of people with 50 miles in my legs like they were standing still, think I came 8th but just glad not to blow up as not gone that fast for years.

The valley jinx struck again, down the fast hill to drayton, the bunch compressed, I just braked in time as eveyone concerteenered up and had my face in someoness back at one point. martin eadon was rubbing my back wheel with his front amd saved himself as 4 others went down hard and fast. One Ambulance case with a broken colarbone and wrist/arm .....ouch.

That place is keeping bikeshops in buisness this year.
